Tim and Amy | The Wedding

Welcome to the wedding of Tim and Amy, coined Ecclesall Woodstock for it's festivally, woodland, wellie-laden vibe. I was nervous about this one. When I first spoke to Amy she said there was no wet weather plan - that it was all going to be outside and it just needed to be dry. Cripes. And more cripes as the weather forecast maintained its prediction of heavy showers. But by some stroke of luck, the clouds parted just in time for the ceremony to still take place in the woods under a canopy of beech trees. And the last-minute marquee provided cover in between those very heavy showers so we could duck in and out. And the evening weather held itself together so the small clearing didn't short circuit its fairy lights. Phew and indeed Phew.

A few of my favourite things:
It was great spending the day outside, to reflect the out-doorsiness of Tim and Amy. Big green spaces do seem to have a balming effect on the soul.

Hearing the sounds of the dixie-land jazz band drifting through the trees as we scrambled our way to the ceremony clearing set quite an atmosphere. And seeing wedding guests in their finery finished off with wellies and woollens so as to properly enjoy the mud and chilly Northern evening. I loved how muddy the brides dress and feet were by the end - and how fine she was with this. All part of entering the spirit of things.

Congrats you two, on to some highlights.
