Clint and Lydia deliberately wanted to get married on Friday the 13th, which limited their choice of date to either April or September. So September it was. The venue was the wonderful Leopold hotel in Sheffield. The weather, unfortunately, was not co-operative ... but thankfully this building had enough character and charm to make up for that.
The guests had travelled far and wide, a fully international day, with many friends and family making the trip from South Africa. We were even treated to a bit of Portuguese and some Afrikaans during the speeches.
I made firm friends with Lydias three year old nephew as we dived under the net curtains together and watched the rain and fountains outside, chatting about whatever came into his mind. He was wonderful, in that way that little people often are, and occasionally you meet a big person who hasn't lost that wonder and imagination. I hope he keeps his.
Anyway, on to some photos ...
