Claire and Gez | Wedding

Last weekend I joined Claire and Gez in celebrating their wedding in Sheffield. The girls got ready at St Pauls and walked over to the Catholic Cathedral for the ceremony. Father David commented that Claire was the first bride he'd ever encountered who turned up exactly on time ready to get things started. I've never been inside the Cathedral before and it was quite a space. Catholics know how to decorate! After the ceremony we hopped on a vintage bus to take us over to Endcliffe Hall. The venue doubles as a Territorial Army Centre; Claire was Very Excited when she saw that there were some army vehicles in the car park shouting out "THERE'S A TANK" as the bus approached.  We decided to make the most of it by recreating the first photo that was ever taken of Claire and Gez where they strong-manned in front of a digger.

I loved all the little touches of this wedding, Claire had thoughtfully made welcome packs for all the wedding guests who were also staying at St Paul's, all the kids had play boxes on their tables, and each buttonhole and bouquet had a personalised LEGO minifigure on it.

I really enjoyed the silly energy of both the couple and the guests. This included some Italian customs of making the couple kiss whenever wine glasses were donged, and covering the dancing couple in streamers and silly string.

It was a great day to be a part of, congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs.
