Sam and Carla | Wedding

You know you've met your kind of people when the first thing you see in their lounge is a diorama of Holmes and Watson made using taxidermy ducklings. And so it was that I met Sam and Carla and heard about their wedding plans, (and planted the idea of taxidermy duckling cake toppers :) ).

It was a grand day in Sheffield city centre, starting off at the Town Hall before heading over to the Millennium Galleries for the reception. The day was full of emotional moments: Sam's gifts to Carla set the tone in the morning as framed copies of the readings brought on tears, ducts were further challenged by handwritten vows, and a gorgeous speech by the mini-best man.

Carla looked gorgeous in her bespoke dress made by Kate Beaumont who designs and makes dresses in our very own Sheffield. What a talented lady.

I loved how many people had got involved in making the day happen. Friends and family between them did the bridal party's hair, collected all the bottles for Sam and Carla's home brew favours, created the succulent bouquets and buttonholes. It's handy to know a creative bunch!
