I was recently in South Carolina visiting Charleston for an academic conference. This was my first visit to the US. I didn't take many photos - I still tussle with when to take the camera out when I'm off-duty and when to let myself be creative for fun (but lugging a heavy camera about).
Anyway, I had one enjoyable morning where I did take out the camera, and pootled about the street that my accommodation was on, looking for colour, decay and other details that caught my eye.
