Family Ryder | Portrait

The Ryder family were the winners of my free portrait shoot held last month. I like giving away free shoots every now and then, it helps me in the process of keeping work and income as separate things (we all need to work, we all need an income, but when the two are too intertwined I get a bit miserable).

Co-incidentally and unbeknownst to me they had also just had a baby - perfect timing! So we got on with capturing this little monkey in her various states of wriggly awake time and floppy sleepiness. Jen and James are a pretty playful couple so we had fun cutting out shapes and gathering bedding to make a couple of make-believe scenarios for an oblivious babe.

Family Mick | Portrait

Aw the lovely Tilly the Mick. Born to my super chum friends a few weeks ago now .. she's probably changed a lot since I last saw her. I love Jen's love of colour so we were sure to capture that in the photos (hurrah for a wardrobe abounding with coloured knitwear). I love how many faces newborns have, including a particularly impressive Dr Evil.

Baby Everatt

Bit of a day yesterday. I went to see my old friend Helen, her hubby Matt and their brand new baby, just one day old! It was a real privilege to see them all so early on. And in his one day he's managed to develop quite the range of facial expressions. Properly gorgeous. Love love love to family Everatt x x
