Family Swift | Portrait

Louise got in touch a little while back wanting to book a family shoot. The family have been living in New Zealand for the last few years, and while out there had started a tradition of regular family shoots with their favourite photographer Sally. Alas Sally proved too expensive to fly over now that the family have come back to blighty, so after a facebook status asking for recommendations, a few of my staunch supporters put us in touch.

We went out to Langsett Barn and had fun playing with stone throwing, tree climbing, squirrel hunting and a little light field trespassing. The boys were super cute together - and I had a lot of fun (especially when I realised I'd just scampered up a tree with massive camera in hand - I do love a good tree climb).

Family Mick | Portrait

Aw the lovely Tilly the Mick. Born to my super chum friends a few weeks ago now .. she's probably changed a lot since I last saw her. I love Jen's love of colour so we were sure to capture that in the photos (hurrah for a wardrobe abounding with coloured knitwear). I love how many faces newborns have, including a particularly impressive Dr Evil.

Much love Family Mick. Look forward to seeing this little lady grow up.

Family Andrews | Portrait

Time for my annual shoot with Emma, Dan and their two spirited daughters. This time we hung out in Sheffield Botanical Gardens for the afternoon and played with squirrels, hedgehogs, rainbow umbrellas, bubbles and double exposures. After all that play we headed to Couch on Ecclesall road for coffee, cake and a couple of renditions of songs from Frozen. It's lovely to meet up and capture this family each year, I get to see how the girls change and grow and have a good natter with Emma. To mark the fact that this is an annual event, we started a tradition of taking a photo with a print from the last shoot, next year we'll print this shot and have that one in a photo ... if we keep this up we'll have an infinity effect of photos within photos within photos. Huzzah.
